Single in London - 8 March 2006

Well really not much happened today. This evening's dinner was cancelled because my old boss who was going to be taking me out got tied up with an office move. And, since it was wet and miserable outside I wasn't too upset. He's a lovely chap who now runs a business called Skinkers that make little animated desktop characters. Suprisingly successful too...and it's always good to see one of life's nicer people doing well.

I did go out for lunch with Mum. She has hospital appointments pretty well every day this week and today she had one in the morning and a second one at 4pm in the afternoon. So, rather than go home and hang around, she came over here and we went to the local pub. I was a bit worried that it would be packed...as it often is on exhibition days. The Ideal Home Exhibition starts tomorrow and that is one of the largest things they show at Earls Court these days.

The builder is still in residence. He's done most of the first floor landing and stairs now...but nothing is fixed back into place. I'm still a bit worried about things being in a finished state for the party on Saturday. I haven't got a clue who is coming either! Could be anything from 5 to 30 people, mostly from the LoveandFriends dating site. I do at least know what I am cooking...more on that later:)
