Originally I came on Love@Lycos for a bit of fun, never planned on meeting anyone, and definitely wasn’t looking for romance. I was a single mum, who had had a rough couple of years after my partner had passed away when our son was just 8 months old. I was using Love@Lycos to escape reality on an evening, until I met Funlovevirus.
Our story began in Nov 2002 when some sexy French guy living in York calling himself Funlovevirus signed my guest book, like you do I went to check out his page, tasty! We started chatting through Love@Lycos sms and email. There was just something about him, I was intrigued, and I needed to find out more so I decided to meet with him. This had to be the scariest thing I’ve ever done, but he was so cool, and made everything safe, and I have a best friend in York who was willing to be around.
We got on amazingly, like we’d known each other for years, and fell in love straight away, something I never thought would ever happen.
He proposed to me on New Years Eve clubbing at Orbit in Leeds, it all happened so fast it was mad! In June 2003 he managed to get me to leave my beloved Newcastle and move out into the sticks of North Yorkshire, during which time… because we weren’t being very careful … lol and discovered I was pregnant. We got married in a beautiful village called Charly in the centre of France on 23rd August 2003.
Our son was born 27th January 2004, he’s a cutie… just like his dad.
